The Senior Technical Business Developer will lead customer engagement and U.S. market expansion for sub-transmission products, focusing on 72.5–145 kV Dead Tank Circuit Breakers. The role bridges product management and sales through technical leadership, go-to-market strategy, standards compliance, pre-sales solution design, and strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
Market strategy & growth — Drive U.S. sub‑transmission market expansion by developing new utility/EPC/OEM opportunities, shaping go‑to‑market plans, and securing product homologation
Technical leadership — Act as the primary technical interface, leading configuration discussions, advanced feature evaluations, and pre‑sales solution design
Standards & industry influence — Ensure IEEE/ANSI compliance, represent the company in industry bodies, and help shape evolving technical specifications
Partnerships & product innovation — Build strategic ecosystem relationships while channeling customer insights to guide product evolution, digital integration, and sustainable SF6‑free technology adoption
Skills
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or other Engineering field required
10+ years of experience in high voltage equipment, preferably with circuit breakers or other key substation components
Deep understanding of sub-transmission applications and utility processes in the US
Proven experience in technical sales, product management, or business development
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with vacuum interrupter technology and SF6-free solutions/regulation
Familiarity with IEEE/ANSI standards for high-voltage products
Ability to travel up to 30% - domestic and international - may be required

This is a remote position. Candidates can be located anywhere in the US, with preference for Cary, NC or Houston, TX.
