Job Title: Technical Problem Author – Engineering<br><br><strong>Role Type:</strong> Contractor<br><br><strong>Location:</strong> Remote<br><br><strong>Job Overview<br><br></strong>We are seeking experienced <strong>Engineering Technical Problem Authors</strong> to contribute their technical expertise to a project focused on advancing next-generation AI systems in engineering. In this role, you will create and evaluate challenging, real-world technical problems and assess AI-generated engineering responses for accuracy, rigor, and practical relevance.<br><br>Your engineering knowledge will help improve how AI systems <strong>reason through complex technical problems, apply engineering principles, and communicate technically sound solutions</strong>. No prior AI experience is required—your domain expertise and technical judgment are what matter most.<br><br>Scope of Work<br><br><ul><li>Author and evaluate advanced technical problems across areas such as Aerodynamics, Materials Science, CAD/Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering, Circuit Design, and related disciplines.</li><li>Review AI-generated technical responses for correctness, engineering accuracy, completeness, and practical relevance.</li><li>Apply engineering judgment to real-world design, analysis, troubleshooting, and failure scenarios as well as theoretical problem contexts.</li><li>Analyze complex technical issues, identify ambiguities, and recommend clarifications to problem statements, assumptions, and conditions.</li><li>Develop technically rigorous problems that test analytical reasoning, engineering principles, calculations, and design judgment.</li><li>Provide structured written feedback and clear explanations to improve AI-generated technical reasoning.</li><li>Collaborate remotely with technical experts and project participants to maintain high-quality deliverables.</li><li>Document technical insights, identified weaknesses, and recommendations to support continuous improvement of AI models and problem sets.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Mechanical Engineering</li><li>Aerodynamics</li><li>AutoCAD</li><li>Technical Problem Authoring</li><li>Engineering Analysis</li><li>Technical Documentation</li><li>Analytical Reasoning</li><li>Technical Review & Validation</li><li>Written and Verbal Communication<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in a relevant engineering discipline, or substantial professional industry experience.</li><li>At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience in a relevant engineering field; deeper experience is preferred for Aerodynamics, Circuit Design, and Mechanical Engineering roles.</li><li>Demonstrated experience creating technically rigorous problems, such as through academic examinations, engineering competitions, licensure exams, standards committees, or technical assessment programs.</li><li>Experience with technical publications, patents, industry awards, competition results, committee participation, or other evidence of recognized technical expertise.</li><li>Professional-level English proficiency with excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Familiarity with industry-standard engineering tools such as AutoCAD, CAD software, CFD/FEA platforms, EDA tools, simulation software, or laboratory equipment relevant to your specialty.</li><li>Ability to work independently and remotely while consistently delivering high-quality technical content within project timelines.<br><br><br></li></ul>Compensation Structure<br><br>Compensation is <strong>output-based</strong>, with experts paid per task that meets the applicable project specifications and quality standards. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on the expert's experience and workflow.<br><br>Minimum submission requirements apply, and selected experts are expected to complete a minimum number of tasks per week.<br><br>Start Timeline & Availability<br><br>Roles are typically filled within <strong>48 hours</strong>.
