The role applies accounting principles to analyze financial information, process transactions, maintain account records, prepare financial reports, perform reconciliations, and support accounting systems and regulatory compliance.


Responsibilities

  • Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, process financial transactions, analyze cost and prepare financial reports
  • Maintains or oversees the control of accounts and records in such areas as disbursements, expenses, tax payments, income, cash, accounts payable, accounts receivables, billing, fixed assets, liabilities
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, perform reconciliations and review and verify accuracy
  • Prepares balance sheet and profit and loss statements, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting schedules and reports
  • May design, modify, install, and/or maintain accounting and financial information systems to ensure an adequate recognition of financial transactions
  • Responsible for the adherence to and communication of accounting and auditing policies and procedures, regulatory compliance and government regulations and reporting
  • May be required to interface with various government agencies

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
  • Effective analytical skills demonstrated through related experience
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Effective Microsoft Office skills (specifically Excel)
  • Experience/knowledge of accounting entries and related impacts
  • Experience with SAP
  • Previous Billing experience
  • Prior experience with account reconciliations
  • Exceptional teamwork and customer service attitude
  • Quick and proactive learner with aptitude for systems and processes
  • Accountability and professionalism
  • Experience with automation software
  • Advanced Excel and Outlook skills
  • Knowledge of tools such as Power Query and Alteryx
  • Independent problem-solving skills
